We Are California Squads are a love letter to California. We are grassroots groups of neighbors coming together to protect our communities, take bold local action, and build real power - block by block.
A squad is a group of neighbors or friends who come together regularly to take action. Whether it's distributing KYR information to local businesses or neighbors, holding bake sales to raise funds to support immigrants, writing letters to our representatives or joining a protest together, organizing is always better and more fun when we do it together.

We ride for California by building undeniable people power rooted in love, interdependence, and solidarity. In the face of state violence and militant attacks, we’re rising with joy, resilience, and a movement that reflects the diversity of our neighbors and loved ones, and that protects and uplifts all of us.
We are made up of dreamers and doers — teachers, caregivers, farmworkers and tech workers, native to this land and newcomers and immigrants. We are proud of who we are and determined to reimagine our economy and democracy. From our cities to our small towns, from the coast to the Central Valley, we are united by love for our communities and a belief that together we can build something better.
