We are all part of California — from the first peoples to the most recent immigrants — and we recognize and protect the inherent dignity in each of us so we can work together to build our collective future.
- Advance policies of inclusion and justice for BIPOC and immigrant communities;
- Expand and protect our our democracy, by extending language and disability access, re-enfranchising prisoners, and moving towards universal enfranchisement;
- Protect gender justice by blocking attempts to marginalize LGBTQ+ Californians and safeguarding reproductive rights for everyone within our state.
We are safe when we can live free and breathe free in every neighborhood, expanding the idea of public safety and working together in ways that prioritize our humanity.
- Pursue care-based approaches to poverty, homelessness, migration, and substance abuse;
- Invest in clean air, clean water, and climate resiliency to protect from pollution, floods, and fire;
- End over-policing of BIPOC and immigrant communities and break our misinformation-fueled addiction to mass incarceration.
Our high cost of living means too many Californians are one bad break away from being forced out of their home or the state. Helping families stay where they are makes our communities more resilient as the economy and climate continue to transform.
- Build more affordable housing, invest in new models of social housing, and expand renter protections so all our families have a stable place to call home;
- Extend the social safety net, including basic income programs, food programs, and health insurance, to all Californians in need, regardless of immigration status, to get through hard times;
- Invest in affordable, accessible, and high-quality elder and child care.
California’s economy and innovation lead the world. Still, we will fall behind unless we support everyone to unlock their full potential, contribute to a healthy economy, and prioritize sustainable growth that creates opportunities for generations to come.
- Invest in high-quality education and ensure our schools are welcoming and safe spaces for all students, which honor their identities and support them to learn and grow;
- Commit to truth, healing, and reparations for Native and Black communities to address multigenerational harm from white supremacy;
- Build an inclusive and just economy where workers have a right to organize, a say in how technologies like AI are adopted in their workplaces, and quality wages and benefits for all, supported by investments in family-sustaining careers and a public jobs guarantee;
- Create sustainable infrastructure to support our communities both environmentally and economically through renewable energy, public transportation, and equitable development.
A California that works for all of us is a California where everyone contributes their fair share to support the services and infrastructure that we all rely on. To end the chronic underfunding of public services, we will ensure that wealthy individuals and corporations pay their share.
- Make corporations pay what they owe, including closing property tax loopholes and ending the underfunding of schools and public services;
- Ensure wealthy Californians contribute their fair share to the California that has made them prosperous;
- Allocate new revenues equitably, based on community needs with a focus on supporting low-income BIPOC communities.
